COMPOSITIONS, GAMES COLLECTIONS

INFORMATIONS

Collections, game collections is a complex, multifunctional module of the homepage. You can find mixed chess material here. It starts from the large database which contains about 8.5 million games, and continues with the series of one or two-package game collections and thematic position collections compiled by different points of views. You can find here those parts of 'Find the solution'-type thematic collections which we couldn't put into the levels of 'Chess school' and the 'Master tests' chapter of test pages which can be reached from 'Tests' page as well. We put here the eleven opening books.

The module is completed by two search pages where we can search for the players' names and the openings in the databases. Each database contains from 50 to 500 thousand games. We should be patient during the search because it can take a couple of seconds depending on the measure of database and the number of findings.

When we open any set of games we will find an inner search engine where we can search in the given database. We can choose two possibilities, Text or Moves. Choosing the Text we can search in the list and text (for name and the opening code), choosing the Moves we can search in the games (for concrete moves). We should be careful in writing the sign of taking the same way as it is seen in the game. With the help of the OK button we can open the suitable games. If the OK button doesn't react, there is no game adequate to the search. When reaching the end of database, the engine restarts the search. The search engine is sensitive for small and BLOCK CAPITAL letters.

Big databases
